RESUMEN
Los berries son frutos ampliamente estudiados y por décadas se han usados en distintas especialidades como herramienta terapéutica. Se han realizado múltiples estudios que demuestran los efectos beneficiosos de su consumo y el uso de sus componentes en diferentes presentaciones. En la literatura mundial no existen publicaciones de casos clínicos del área dermatológica tratados con formulaciones en base a berries. La siguiente revisión presenta evidencias que apoyan los potenciales efectos beneficiosos de los componentes de los berries y sus acciones terapéuticas en el área de la salud.
ABSTRACT
Berry fruits have been widely studied. They have been used as a ther-apeutic tool in a lot of areas in medicine. There have been many stud-ies that show the benefi cial eff ects of its consumption and the use ofits components in different presentations. In the international literature there are no reports of clinical cases of the dermatologic area treated with formulations on the basis of berries. The following review will present evidences supporting that berries components and its actions can exert potencially healthy effects.
