RESUMO
Objetivo:
investigar a prevalência de insatisfação com a imagem corporal e fatores associados, entre adolescentes do Ensino Médio de zona rural do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, em 2012.Métodos:
estudo transversal realizado em escolas da zona rural pertencentes à 5a Coordenadoria Regional de Educação (5ª CRE/RS); foi aplicado questionário com informações demográficas, comportamentais e nutricionais, e insatisfação com imagem corporal, esta mensurada pelo Body Shape Questionnarie (BSQ-34); para a análise multivariável, foi aplicada a regressão de Poisson.Resultados:
foram estudados 510 adolescentes; a prevalência de insatisfação com a imagem corporal foi de 16,9 por cento; na análise multivariável, os fatores associados foram sexo feminino (RP=3,1; IC95 por cento 1,8-5,2), sobrepeso (RP=3,4; IC95 por cento 2,3-5,0), obesidade (RP=3,2; IC95 por cento 1,7-5,7) e atividade física suficiente no lazer (RP=1,5; IC95 por cento 1,1-2,2).Conclusão:
o nível de insatisfação com a imagem corporal encontrado foi maior nas meninas, naqueles com sobrepeso/obesidade e ativos fisicamente.ABSTRACT

to investigate the level of dissatisfaction with body image and associated factors among high school adolescents in rural areas of Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, 2012.Methods:
A cross-sectional study was conducted in schools in the states 5th Education Region. Students answered a questionnaire about demographic, socioeconomic and behavioral variables. The outcome, body image dissatisfaction, was measured by the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-34).Results:
510 adolescents were evaluated. Body image dissatisfaction prevalence was 16.9 per cent and the associated factors were female gender (p<0.001; 95 per cent CI 1.8-5.2), overweight (PR= 3.4; 95 per cent CI 2.3-5.0), obesity (PR= 3.2; 95 per cent CI 1.7-5.7) and sufficient physical activity in leisure time (PR= 1.5; 95 per cent CI 1.1-2.2).Conclusion:
the level of dissatisfaction with body image was higher among girls, adolescents who were overweight/obese and those who were physically active.
