Vigilância em saúde do trabalhador e participação social em Lagoa da Confusão (TO): o agronegócio em questão / Health Surveillance of making workers and social participation in the municipality of Lagoa da Confusion: the agribusiness

RESUMO

Nesse estudo, pretende-se conhecer o processo de estruturação de uma política participativa local de vigilância em saúde do trabalhador, de caráter intersetorial, com ênfase na organização do controle social. Essa pesquisa foi desenvolvida no município de Lagoa da Confusão (TO) e adotou, sob a vertente da pesquisa social, o enfoque da pesquisa participante. Realizaram-se quatro encontros que reuniram até 11 pessoas, de modo a se respeitar a ideia de constituição de grupos participativos. Analisaram-se os materiais de campo, advindo das reuniões, lançando mão da técnica da análise do discurso. Os temas centrais que sobressaíram nas discussões foram:política, trabalho precário, agrotóxicos e participação. Verificou-se que a vigilância em saúde do trabalhador, por meio da metodologia participativa, define-se como uma importante estratégia política, possibilitando a interação entre os atores sociais e institucionais, com o propósito de gerar mudanças locais. Ao final, elaborou-se um produto coletivo (plano de trabalho) cujo principal objetivo é a transformação das condições dos trabalhadores do agronegócio local.

ABSTRACT

In this study, we seek to know the process of structuring a local participatory policy for worker health surveillance, with intersectoral character and emphasis on the organization of social control. We carried out this study in the municipality of Lagoa da Confusion (TO) on the strandof social research, with focus on participatory approach. To this goal, we organized four meetings that brought together up to 11 participants, respecting the idea of establishment of participatory groups. Data arising from these meetings were analyzed making use of the technique of discourse analysis. The central themes that stood out in the discussions were politics, precarious work, pesticides and participation. Through this participatory methodology, we found that the workerhealth surveillance, defines itself as an important political strategy, enabling the interaction between and institutional social actors in the aim of generating local changes. Finally, it was constructed a collective product (work plan) whose main objective is transforming work conditions of the local agribusiness.
