RESUMO

Objetivou-se avaliar o conhecimento, a atitude e a prática dos enfermeiros atuantes na Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) acerca do controle da sífilis na gestação; associar as variáveis explanatórias com o conhecimento, a atitude e a prática dos enfermeiros acerca do controle da sífilis na gestação e comparar o conhecimento e a atitude com a prática em relação à sífilis na gestação. Trata-se de um estudo avaliativo do tipo Conhecimento, Atitude e Prática (CAP) e abordagem quantitativa, realizado no período de junho a agosto de 2012, com 171 enfermeiros da ESF, utilizando-se como instrumento um questionário inquérito CAP em relação à sífilis na gestação. Os dados foram organizados em tabelas e gráficos, segundo a relação à sífilis na gestação. ABSTRACT

This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude and practiceof nurses working in theFamily Health Strategy (FHS) about the control of syphilis in pregnancy; associate theexplanatory variables with the knowledge, attitude and practice of nurses regarding control ofsyphilis in pregnancy and compare knowledge and attitude and practice regarding syphilisduring pregnancy. It is an evaluative study of type Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP)and quantitative approach, conducted from June to August 2012, with 171 nurses FHS, usinga questionnaire survey instrument as CAP in relation to syphilis duringpregnancy. The datawere organized in tables and graphs, according to descriptive and inferential statistics usingthe Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis test, chi-square and Fisher.
