Vulnerabilidade ao HIV em estudantes de ensino médio de uma escola pública do interior de São Paulo / Vulnerability to HIV in students of a public high school located in the inner state of São Paulo

RESUMO

A sexualidade é uma dimensão inerente ao ser humano, perpassando todas as fases do seu desenvolvimento. Entretanto, durante a adolescência ela adquire relevância, pois frequentemente marca o início da vida sexual dos indivíduos. Objetivo: o presente trabalho teve como objetivo identificar os comportamentos de adolescentes sobre a vulnerabilidade ao HIV, considerando as diferenças entre os gêneros. Métodos: participaram da pesquisa 136 estudantes do ensino médio, de uma escola noturna no interior de São Paulo. Foi utilizado um questionário estruturado (Ministério da Saúde/ Ministério da Educação) intitulado "Eu preciso fazer o teste do HIV/AIDS" Resultados: os resultados apontaram para um aumento da vulnerabilidade dos adolescentes ao HIV, isto é 59,5 por cento dos entrevistados estão em situação de vulnerabilidade. Com relação ao gênero constatou-se que as mulheres (33,1 por cento) estão mais vulneráveis do que os homens (26,5 por cento). Conclusão: observa-se que a falta de informação é uma realidade que aumenta a vulnerabilidade dos adolescentes, porém constata-se também que a simples aquisição de informações, não necessariamente garante a mudança de comportamento e a prevenção ao HIV...

ABSTRACT

Sexuality is an inherent dimension in the human being, which is present in all stages of his development. However, it becomes relevant during the adolescence as it often sets the beginning of the individuals sexual life. Objective: this study aimed at identifying the behaviors of adolescents regarding the HIV vulnerability, considering the differences between genders. Methods: it was useda structured questionnaire proposed by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education of Brazil with the title "Do I need to text for HIV?" Sample included 136 high school students in the inner state of São Paulo. Results: the results showed an increase in adolescents vulnerability to HIV, that is 59.5 per cent of the participants are in a vulnerable situation. Regarding the gender, research showed that women (33.1 per cent) are more vulnerable than men (26.5 per cent). Conclusion: it is observed that the lack of information is a reality that increases the vulnerability of adolescents, but it is also observed that the mere acquisition of information does not necessarily guarantee behavior change nor HIV prevention...
