Idade cronológica de acordo com o nível de aprendizagem em natação / Chronological age according to the swimming learning level

RESUMO

Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo determinar a idade cronológica de acordo com o nível de aprendizagem em natação. MÉTODOS: Para tanto, a amostra foi constituída por 2984 voluntários de ambos os gêneros na faixa etária de 6 meses a 74 anos de idade. Os voluntários apresentavam distintos níveis de aprendizagem motora e de tempo de prática em natação assim como de aptidão física. A idade cronológica foi determinada de acordo com a data de nascimento e apresentada em meses para os níveis bebê I, II e III, e em anos para os níveis adaptação, iniciação (infantil e adulto) e aperfeiçoamento (I, II e III). Os níveis foram constituídos de acordo com a faixa etária e corroborados pelo nível de desenvolvimento maturacional e experiências retrospectivas em atividades aquáticas esperados para cada faixa etária especifi camente. RESULTADOS: A idade para o nível bebê I, bebê II e bebê III foi 12,34 ± 3,83 meses (6 – 25 meses [n 68]), 21,22 ± 5,74 meses (9 – 39 meses [n 115]) e 39,99 ± 9,26 meses (27 – 72 meses [n 275]), respectivamente. As idades para os níveis de adaptação e de iniciação infantil foram correspondentemente 5,62 ± 1,69 anos (2 – 15 anos [n 724]) e 7,93 ± 1,87 anos (4 – 17 anos [n 852]). Enquanto que para o aperfeiçoamento houve bastante similaridade independente do nível (I 10,27 ± 1,96 anos (6 – 18 anos [n 556]; II 11,98 ± 2,14 anos (8 – 18 anos [n 243]; III 12,15 ± 2,15 anos (14 – 74 anos [n 55]) e para o nível iniciação adulto foi de 39,95 ± 16,02 anos (14 – 74 anos [n 96]). CONCLUSÃO: Os dados deste estudo permitem concluir que a idade cronológica varia de acordo com os distintos níveis de aprendizagem em natação, sugerindo a existência de um nível mínimo necessário de aprendizagem motora para cada nível.

ABSTRACT

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the chronological age according to the swimming learning level. METHODS: The sample was constituted by 2984 volunteers from both genders aged from 6 months to 74 years-old. Volunteers presented distinct motor learning, practice experience as well as physical fi tness levels. Chronological age was determined according to the born, and it was presented in months to the 1, 2 and 3 infant levels, and for the adaptation, initiation (childhood and adult) and improvement (1, 2 and 3) levels, chronological age was presented in years. The levels were constituted according to the age and those were corroborated by maturational level as well as aquatic activities retrospective experiences in each age. RESULTS: The chronological age to the infant 1, infant 2 and infant 3 levels were, 12.34 ± 3.83 months (6 – 25 months [n 68]), 21.22 ± 5.74 months (9 – 39 months [n 115]) e 39.99 ± 9.26 months (27 – 72 months [n 275]), respectively. The chronological age for the adaptation and childhood initiation levels were correspondently 5.62 ± 1.69 years-old (2 – 15 years-old [n 724]) and 7.93 ± 1.87 years-old (4 – 17 years-old [n 852]). There were very similarities for the improvement level regardless of the level (1 10.27 ± 1.96 years-old (6 – 18 years-old [n 556]; 2 11.98 ± 2.14 years-old (8 – 18 years-old [n 243]; 3 12.15 ± 2.15 years-old (14 – 74 years-old [n 55]), and the chronological age to the adult initiation level was 39.95 ± 16.02 years-old (14 – 74 years-old [n 96]). CONCLUSION: This study permit to concluded that the range of the chronological age occurs according to the several swimming learning level, suggesting a minimum level necessary of the motor learning for each level.
