RESUMO
O estudo objetivou avaliar o efeito de um protocolo de tratamento fisioterapêutico na funcionalidade e no quadro álgico em pacientes portadores de OA de joelhos. Participaram do estudo 9 pacientes de ambos os sexos com idade média de 57,8 + 7,4 anos portadores de OA, em um total de 15 joelhos. Para comparar os valores obtidos no pós-tratamento em relação ao pré-tratamento foi utilizado o test-t de Student (p<0,05). O protocolo de tratamento consistiu no alongamento da musculatura posterior, mobilização patelar, fortalecimento muscular, treino sensório motor e crioterapia. Os valores obtidos no Lequesne reduziram significativamente de 9,7 ± 2,8 (acometimento grave) para 3,4 ± 2,4 (pouco acometimento) e na EVA houve uma redução estatisticamente significativa dos escores de dor em todas as atividades da vida diária, com reduções nos valores entre 41 a 69% e quanto ao índice de gravidade do exame radiológico, a maioria apresentou grau 1 e grau 2, ambos com 4 pacientes. O protocolo de tratamento proposto, após 10 sessões, parece contribuir para a melhora funcional e redução da dor em pacientes com OA de joelhos.
ABSTRACT
The stud Evaluating the effect of a memorandum of physiotherapy treatment in functionality and in pain in patients with OA of knee. There were 9 patients of both sexes with an average age of 57.8 + 7.4 years patients with OA, in a total of 15 knees. To compare the values obtained in the post-treatment compared with the pre-treatment was used Student's t-test (p <0.05). The protocol of treatment consisted in lengthening the back muscles, patellar mobilization, muscle strengthening, training and sensory-motor cryotherapy. The values obtained in Lequesne decreased from 9.7 ± 2.8 (severe impairment) to 3.4 ± 2.4 (little involvement) and VAS there was a statistically significant reduction of scores of pain in all activities of daily, with reductions in values between 41 to 69% and the index of the severity of the examination radiological, the majority had grade 1 and grade 2, both with 4 patients. Conclusion: The protocol of the proposed treatment, after 10 sessions, seems to contribute to the functional improvement and reduced pain in patients with OA of the knee.
