ABSTRACT
Class II malocclusion is commonly observed in the daily routine of a dental practice. This condition is more prevalent in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. However, it is known that the sooner this malocclusion is treated, the better the prognosis, especially in cases of skeletal problems. In order to illustrate this fact, this paper presents a patient with skeletal Class II malocclusion, maxillary protrusion and mandibular retrusion, treated in permanent dentition mainly and initially using removable extraoral appliance being finalized by s straightwire fixed orthodontic (Roth prescription) for a short period of time.
