Portal Infomed Villa Clara: un recorrido a través de su historia / Infomed Villa Clara Website: an approach throughout its history

RESUMEN

Fundamento el desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, desempeñan un papel fundamental en el progreso de nuevos sistemas de enseñanza aprendizaje, lo que a su vez ha influido en la adopción de herramientas tecnológicas para el perfeccionamiento de aplicaciones educativas y comunicativas, así como en su rápida expansión hacia diferentes elementos de la web. Objetivo: reseñar los diversos diseños que ha tenido el portal de las ciencias de la salud en Villa Clara a partir del uso de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación. Métodos: se realizó un estudio descriptivo con enfoque cualitativo, que abarcó el período de 1997 hasta 2014, para lo cual se emplearon métodos teóricos análisis-síntesis, histórico- lógico, inductivo-deductivo y enfoque sistémico estructural; y métodos empíricos revisión documental. Resultados: el desarrollo del Portal Infomed Villa Clara estuvo mediado por la incorporación del estudio de registros y diseños de los sitios web que le han antecedido, desde su creación en la segunda mitad de la década de los años 1990 hasta el momento actual en que se formuló finalmente una nueva propuesta de diseño, con una renovadora concepción, proyecto que surge para unificar el Portal de Ciencias Médicas del territorio con el Centro Provincial de Información de Ciencias Médicas de Villa Clara. Conclusiones: el Portal Infomed Villa Clara es un sitio representativo de la aplicación de herramientas asociadas a la filosofía de la web 2.0. Su evolución transitó por varios enfoques conceptuales hasta llegar finalmente a la utilización del Plone.

ABSTRACT

Background: the development of communication and information technologies play a key role in the progress of new systems of learning, which at the same time has influenced on the adoption of technological tools for improving educational and communicative applications, as well as on its rapid expansion into different elements of the web. Objective: to point out the different designs the health sciences website has had in Villa Clara since the information and communication technologies began to be used. Methods: a qualitative descriptive study, which covered the period from 1997 to 2014, was carried out. For this study theoretical methods were employed historic-logic, and inductive-deductive analysis, and structural systemic approach; and empirical methods: documentary and literature review. Results: the development of the Infomed website in Villa Clara has something to do with the incorporation of the study of records and designs, regarding the ones preceded it, since its inception in the second half of the 1990s decade to the present time when a new design proposal finally was conceived, with a reformist conception. This project emerged to unify the Medical Sciences website of the territory with the one of the Provincial Information Center of Medical Sciences in Villa Clara. Conclusions: the Infomed website in Villa Clara is a representative site of how tools associated with the web 2.0 philosophy, are applied. Its evolution experienced several conceptual approaches until Plone began to be used.
