RESUMO
O objetivo é analisar a relação entre a prática sistemática da hidroginástica durante 12 semanas por um grupo de idosos e as conseqüências dessa prática no dia-a-dia da vida desses seres humanos. A pergunta geradora A partir do momento que você iniciou as aulas de hidroginástica, você percebeu alguma alteração na sua vida diária? foi respondida por 57 idosos e analisadas de acordo com Moreira, Simões e Porto (2005). Os resultados mostram que ter mais disposição e sentir-se bem (78,9%); dormir melhor (36,8%); diminuir dores no corpo (29,8%); estar mais feliz e alegre (22.8%); melhorar e ou eliminar doenças (14%); novas amizades (14%) e emagrecer (12,2%) constituíram-se nas falas dos investigados, evidenciando a busca, pelos idosos, de motivações relacionadas a um dia-a-dia de viver a existencialidade superando as alterações e ou perdas decorrentes do processo de envelhecimento.
ABSTRACT
The aim is to analyze the relationship between hidrogymnastics training during 12 weeks by a group of elders and the consequences of this practice on theirs day-by-day life. The principal question From the moment you started the exercise in water, have you notice any changes in your daily life? was answered by 57 seniors and analyzed according to Moreira, Simões and Porto (2005). The results show that being more willing and feel well (78.9%), sleep better (36.8%), lower body pain (29.8%), being happier and cheerful (22.8%), improve or eliminate disease (14%), friendships (14%) and lost weight (12.2%) consisted the statements of those investigated, highlighting the search and motivations of the elderly people related to a day-by-day overcoming the changes and losses associated with getting older process.
