RESUMO
A ginástica laboral (GL) pode ser um meio eficaz para a redução dos níveis de estresse contribuindo para hábitos de vida saudáveis. O objetivo do estudo foi comparar os níveis de estresse e estilo de vida de praticantes e não praticantes de GL. Participaram do estudo 228 funcionários de ambos os sexos (32±10 anos), os quais foram divididos em G1 (n=114) praticantes de GL e G2 (n=114) não praticantes de GL. Foi aplicado o Inventário de Sintomas de Stress de Lipp (ISSL) e o Perfil de Estilo de Vida (PEVI) de Nahas. O G2 apresentou níveis aumentados de estresse (p=0,001). Ambos os grupos apresentaram maior frequência na fase resistência do estresse. No PEVI, identificou-se diferenças para atividade física (p=0,001) e controle do estresse (p=0,005), sendo que G1 apresentou melhores índices de estilo de vida positivo. O presente estudo indicou que praticantes de GL tendem ser menos estressados e a ter um estilo de vida mais saudável em relação aos não praticantes.
ABSTRACT
The labor gymnastics (LG) can be a useful tool for decreasing stress levels contributing for healthy lifestyle habits. The aim of this study was compare the stress levels and lifestyle habits between practicing and non-practicing of LG. Participated of this study 228 employees of both sexes, with a mean age of (31±10 years of age), divided into G1 (n=114) practicing LG and G2 (n=114) non-practicing of LG. The Inventory of Stress Symptoms of Lipp (ISSL) and the Lifestyle Profile (PEVI) of Nahas were used. The G2 showed higher levels of stress (p = 0.001). Both groups showed higher frequency in the stress resistance phase. For the PEVI, there was significant differences in physical activity (p=0.001) and stress management (p=0.005), whereas G1 showed better rates of positive lifestyle. The present study showed that people who practice LG tend to be less stressed and have a healthier lifestyle when compared to non-practicing.
