Comportamiento de la temática educación médica en revistas científico tecnológicas del portal de la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud / The medical education theme in the journals of the virtual library of health

RESUMEN

Se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptivo transversal, con el objetivo de describir el estado del arte en relación al tema de educación médica en las Revistas Médicas Cubanas certificadas por el CITMA, publicadas en el Portal de la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud. Se aplicaron métodos de nivel teórico y los empíricos estuvieron conformados por una revisión documental de las Revistas Médicas Cubanas certificadas por el CITMA, disponibles en el portal de la BVS. Se observa que las revistas auspiciadas por instituciones publican más trabajos de educación médica que aquellas que pertenecen a Sociedades Científicas. Se constató que en general es muy reducido el número de publicaciones en el tema de Educación Médica Superior, con excepción de la Revista de Educación Médica Superior, que es exclusiva para estos temas y cuenta en este momento con un portal académico. Se señaló la necesidad de ampliar el espacio para publicar artículos que aborden temáticas de este tipo(AU)

ABSTRACT

An investigation of cross descriptive type was carried out, with the objective to describe the state of the art of the Cubans Medical Magazines certificated by the CITMA, published in the Virtual Library of Health (BVS), relating to the theme of medical education. A documentary review of the Cubans Medical Magazines certificated by the CITMA, available in the entry of the BVS, was carried out. It is observed that the magazines promoted by institutions publish more works of medical education than those that belong to Scientific Societies. It was verified that in general is very reduced the number of publications in the theme of Superior Medical Education, with exception of the Magazine of Superior Medical Education, that is exclusive for these themes. It was indicated the need to expand the space to publish articles that undertake subject matter of this type(AU)
