RESUMO
O presente estudo, situado no campo da saúde no sistema prisional do Rio Grande do Sul, tem como objetivo conhecer experiências de profissionais de saúde que atuam em equipes de saúde prisional e os desafios por eles enfrentados para efetivar ações de saúde dentro de um espaço que prioriza práticas punitivas. Foram realizadas oito entrevistas narrativas com profissionais de saúde prisional. As análises foram desenvolvidas pelo modelo de Schütze. Como resultados, foi possível constatar que a formação acadêmica da maioria dos profissionais estava voltada para o SUS e grande parte teve experiências no campo das políticas públicas antes de trabalhar nas prisões. Os participantes também mostraram os dilemas da relação entre as equipes de segurança e da saúde e as estratégias utilizadas para garantir a realização de ações de saúde. Assim, o estudo evidenciou interlocuções e divergências entre saúde e segurança no contexto das políticas de saúde dentro das prisões.(AU)
ABSTRACT
This study, related to the field of health in the Rio Grande do Sul penitentiary system, is aimed at learning more about the experiences of health professionals that act on prison health teams and the challenges faced by them in making health initiatives effective within a space that enforces punitive actions. Eight narrative interviews were conducted with penitentiary health professionals. The analyses were developed according to the Schütze model. As results, it was shown that the academic formation of the majority of professionals was geared towards SUS (Single Health System) and that most had field experience in the area of public policies prior to working in prisons. Participant also showcased the dilemmas involved in relationships between the security and health teams and the strategies used to ensure the implementation of health initiatives. Thus, the study showed differences and dialogues between health and safety in the context of health policies within prisons.(AU)
