La estética y la práctica profesional en salud / Esthetics and the professional practice in health

RESUMEN

La actividad humana supone un proceso en que el hombre crea las condiciones de su existencia y desarrollo, transforma la realidad según sus necesidades e intereses. En las diferentes actividades se forman las cualidades psíquicas de carácter general utilizadas como base para el desarrollo multilateral del individuo, dentro de ellas, la capacidad estética. Para los profesionales de salud, la actitud estética frente a la realidad no puede ser ajena si se considera que su actividad fundamental está dirigida al mantenimiento y preservación del bienestar humano. Se realizó la presente revisión bibliográfica de la literatura sobre el tema aplicado a la práctica profesional en salud. Se observó que la tendencia hacia lo bello no constituye solamente una necesidad ideal sino que se convierte en un medio para transformar la realidad a partir de un ideal estético concebido de antemano y condicionado histórica y socioculturalmente. El profesional de la salud no es ajeno en su actividad a manifestar una actitud estética, que evidencia su formación en ese sentido. Esta actitud se manifiesta en la interrelación sujeto-objeto. La actitud estética y la búsqueda de la belleza influyen en todas las esferas de la vida humana, revelan una forma muy individual y propia de sentir y percibir lo elementos de la realidad que tienen significación para el sujeto. En el proceso de la práctica médica aparece una actitud estética, mediada por el ideal de belleza imperante, en la interrelación profesional de la salud-paciente.

ABSTRACT

The human activity supposes a process in that the man believes the conditions of his existence and development, transforming the in agreement reality to his necessities and interests. In the different activities they are formed the properties and psychic qualities of character general used as base for the individual's multilateral development, inside them the aesthetic (1) capacity. For the professionals of health, the aesthetic attitude in front of the reality cannot be other people's, considering that its fundamental activity is directed to the maintenance and preservation of the human well-being. A review of the literature on aesthetics and sense of beauty applied to occupational health practice is conducted. The tendency toward the beautiful thing doesn't constitute only an ideal necessity but rather he/she transforms into a means for the transformation of the reality starting from an aesthetic ideal conceived ahead of time and conditioned historical and socioculturally. The professional of the health is not other people's in her activity to manifest an aesthetic attitude that evidences her formation in that sense. This attitude is manifested in the interrelation fellow. object. The aesthetic attitude and the search of the beauty influence in all the spheres of the human life, revealing in a very individual and characteristic way of to feel and to perceive the elements of the reality that have significance for the fellow. In the process of the medical practice an aesthetic attitude appears, mediated by the ideal of prevailing beauty, in the professional interrelation of the health-patient one.
