As crianças e as transformações nas configurações familiares / Children and changes in family configuration

RESUMO

O estudo é uma revisão de literatura sobre as etapas evolutivas do desenvolvimento alcançadas pela criança em distintos contextos familiares. Busca-se refletir sobre como o surgimento de novos modelos familiares incide sobre a criança. Após o divórcio no Brasil, tornou-se popular a expressão "filhos do divórcio”, referente àquelas crianças que teriam algum déficit psicossocial em decorrência da dissolução da família biparental tradicional. Considerando a pluralidade de modelos familiares encontrados atualmente, é visível que as funções parentais também sofreram alterações quanto ao seu entendimento e exercício. Antes estas funções eram atribuídas a pais e mães como responsabilidades exclusivas amor e afeto (função materna), imposição de regras e limites (função paterna). Atualmente se observam inúmeras possibilidades quanto ao exercício da parentalidade. Assim, foi realizado um levantamento dos estudos que tratam sobre novas configurações familiares, papéis parentais e desenvolvimento infantil no contexto sociocultural brasileiro. Muitas são as modificações que ocorrem hoje em relação à família, visto que são encontradas novas formas de reagrupamento entre os seus membros. O número de pesquisas sobre a criança que passa por situações de transição familiar é menos expressivo. Assim, é difícil encontrar dados conclusivos que expliquem o modo ou as consequências destes novos modelos familiares para a criança e para o seu desenvolvimento. Entretanto, a literatura enfatiza a importância dos vínculos estabelecidos pela criança no ambiente familiar como facilitadores do desenvolvimento saudável.

ABSTRACT

The study reviews the evolutive cycles in development of children in different family contexts. It aims at discussing how the onset of new family models may influence the child. After the Law of divorce in Brazil the expression "children of divorce” became popular, referring to children who could have psychosocial deficit because of the ending of the traditional biparental family. Considering the plurality of family models nowadays, it is visible that parental functions also suffered alterations regarding their understanding and exercise. In the past such functions were attributed to fathers and mothers as exclusive responsibilities love and affection (mother function), imposing rules and limits (father function). Nowadays it is observed many possibilities regarding the exercise of parenthood. A survey of the studies about new family configurations, parental roles and child development was undertaken in regard of the Brazilian socio-cultural context. Many are the modifications occurring today in relation to family as seen by the new forms of re-arranging their members. The amount of research about children that live family transitions is less expressive. Therefore it is difficult to obtain conclusive data about the consequences of such new family models for the child and its development. Even though the literature emphasizes the importance of bounding child and family as facilitator of health child development.
