RESUMO
O expressivo e rápido envelhecimento da população, acompanhado de mudanças no perfil social, de saúde, e de aspectos psicológicos, demandam estratégias e estruturas na atenção e no cuidado aos idosos. Uma demanda emergente são as Instituições de Longa Permanência para Idosos (ILPIs). Neste artigo, serão abordados os seguintes temas modelos conceituais de cuidados aos idosos, incluindo as ILPIs, a vulnerabilidade do idoso em ILPI e de que maneira o planejamento estratégico, terapêutico e didático das organizações de atendimento aos idosos contemplam atividades que contribuem para aumentar sua resiliência. O artigo será finalizado com a apresentação de uma experiência de ILPI filantrópica de Campinas.
ABSTRACT
The considerable and fast aging of population, followed by changes in the social and health profile, and psychological aspects, call for strategies and structures on attention and care for the aged. An emerging demand is the Long-Term Care (LTC) Institutionalization for the aged. In this article, the following subjects will be discussed conceptual models of care for the aged, including LTC Organizations, the vulnerability of the aged in LTC Organization and how the strategic, therapeutic and didactic planning of the aged service organizations meet activities which contribute for the increase of resilience. This article ends with the presentation of an experience of a philanthropic LTC Organization of Campinas.
