RESUMEN
Objetivo:
se realizó un estudio exploratorio con el objetivo de identificar en el currículo de la carrera de Medicina, Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de La Habana, la presencia de acciones que conlleven a la construcción de una cultura de salud. Curso 2012-2013.Métodos:
se revisó el macrocurrículo y los programas de las asignaturas relacionadas con la Medicina General Integral.Resultados:
los resultados reflejaron que el egresado debe brindar una atención médica integral, tratar los estilos de vida de la población y actuar en función de los intereses de la sociedad. La salud no se concibe como un valor y la construcción de formas de vida sanas en los propios profesionales no está concebida.Conclusiones:
se refuerza la actuación del futuro médico desde la visión curativa y de riesgo. La promoción de salud está incluida pero no se precisa su papel como tarea rectora de la medicina. No están las acciones para adquirir una cultura de salud.ABSTRACT
Objective:
to conduct an exploratory study in order to identify the actions leading to the construction of health culture in the medical career curriculum in the University of Medical Sciences of Habana during the 2012-2013 academic year.Methods:
the macrocurriculum along with the programs of the Integral General Medicine subjects were all checked.Results:
the results yielded that the graduate should render comprehensive medical care, treat the different lifestyles of the population and perform his work according to the interests of the society. Health is not conceived as a value and the construction of healthy lifestyles in the professionals as such is not conceived either.Conclusions:
the performance of the future physician is strengthened from the curative and risk viewpoint. Health promotion is included but its role is not well defined as a ruling task of medicine. The actions directed to acquire health culture are non-existente.
