Conhecimento da população sobre os primeiros socorros frente à ocorrência de queimaduras: uma revisão integrativa / People’s knowledge about first aid towards burnings: an integrative review

RESUMO

Objetivo: Descrever as evidências acerca do conhecimento da população sobre primeiros socorros frente à ocorrência de queimaduras. Método: Revisão integrativa da literatura, cujos dados foram coletados nas bases de dados LILACS, PUBMED e SCIELO, sendo selecionados e analisados na íntegra 23 artigos, publicados entre os anos de 2002 e 2014. Resultados: Destaca-se como principal ação de primeiros socorros imediata a ocorrências das queimaduras o resfriamento com água fria ou água da torneira, todavia, informações relacionadas à temperatura, início e durações do tratamento são conflituosas. Utilização de coberturas tópicas da cultura popular com o intuito de tratar ou promover a cicatrização das lesões também foram identificadas. Conclusão: A utilização de água corrente foi apontada como a primeira opção de uso frente às queimaduras, porém, evidencia-se escassa informação sobre a forma correta da utilização e a necessidade de aprimorar os conhecimentos sobre primeiros socorros em casos de queimaduras.

ABSTRACT

Purpose: To describe the evidences of people’s knowledge about first aid towards burnings. Method: It is an integrative review, from which data was carried out in the databases LILACS, PUBMED, and SCIELO, and 23 articles published between 2002 and 2014 were selected and analyzed. Results: It is highlighted as a first major action of first aid towards burning the chilling with cold water from the water tap. However, information related to temperature, beginning, and duration of treatment is conflicting. The using of topic casing from popular culture aiming to treat and promote the healing of lesions was also identified. Conclusions: The using of running water was pointed out as the first option towards burnings. Nevertheless, it is highlighted the shortage of information about the right form of using, and the necessity to ameliorate the knowledge about first aid in burning events.
