Comportamiento del trabajo didáctico con las habilidades intelectuales en la docencia de la disciplina Morfofisiología / Behavior of the didactic work with the intellectual abilities in the teaching of the Morphology-physiology discipline

RESUMEN

Fundamento las asignaturas de las ciencias básicas biomédicas juegan un papel fundamental en la formación y desarrollo de habilidades intelectuales, posibilitan aplicar los conocimientos científicos adquiridos por los educandos a las nuevas situaciones que se les han de presentar en su práctica médica. Objetivo: caracterizar el trabajo didáctico con las habilidades intelectuales en las actividades docentes de la disciplina Morfofisiología en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Ciencias Médica de Villa Clara. Métodos: se realizó una investigación descriptiva, con enfoque cualitativo durante el curso 2012-2013 y el primer semestre de 2013-2014. Se utilizaron métodos teóricos análisis-síntesis e inductivo-deductivo y empíricos se realizó observación no participante a 29 actividades docentes, impartidas por profesores de diversas categorías docentes, se incluyeron todas las asignaturas que componen la disciplina Morfofisiología y todas las formas organizativas de la enseñanza. Resultados: las dificultades encontradas se centran en no declarar explícitamente las habilidades a trabajar durante la clase, no emplear suficientemente la problematización como estrategia de enseñanza y no contar con un sistema de evaluación que incluya las habilidades con el valor que les corresponde. Conclusiones: el proceso actual de enseñanza aprendizaje de las ciencias básicas biomédicas presenta insuficiencias en el desempeño didáctico de los profesores, lo cual afecta la calidad del desarrollo de habilidades intelectuales.

ABSTRACT

Background: the subjects of the biomedical basic sciences play a major role in the formation and development of intellectual abilities; they facilitate to apply the acquired scientific knowledge by the students to the new situations that may be present in their medical practice. Objective: to characterize the didactic work with the intellectual abilities in the teaching activities of the Morphology-physiology discipline in the Medicine Faculty of Villa Clara University of Medical of Sciences. Methods: it was carried out a descriptive investigation, with a qualitative approach during the academic year 2012-2013 and the first semester of 2013-2014. Theoretical methods were used analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive and empiric ones it was carried out a non participant observation to 29 teaching activities, imparted by professors of diverse teaching ranks, all the subjects comprised in the Morphology-physiology discipline were included as well as all the teaching forms. Results: the main difficulties are centered in not declaring the abilities to work with during classes explicitly, not to use the problem-solving teaching as teaching strategy sufficiently and not to have an evaluation system that includes the abilities with their corresponding values. Conclusions: the current teaching learning process of the biomedical basic sciences presents inadequacies in the didactic performance of the professors that affect the quality of the development of intellectual abilities.
