Somos pais, e agora?: A história de nós dois depois dos filhos / We are parents, and now?: The story of both after children

RESUMO

O presente artigo busca elucidar a construção da identidade conjugal e como esta se redefine com a chegada dos filhos, além de observar qual é o espaço destinado para o casal em meio a tantas mudanças. Para tanto, analisamos o filme Solteiros com filhos, que retrata a história de três jovens casais no processo de transição da conjugalidade para a parentalidade. Como resultado, evidenciamos que ter filhos é uma tarefa difícil, as lides domésticas se multiplicam, as pressões financeiras aumentam e os momentos de intimidade com o parceiro diminuem. Contudo, se o casal possuir alicerces sólidos baseados no diálogo, amor, parceria e compreensão tornar-se pai e mãe será uma experiência emocionante e transformadora.(AU)

ABSTRACT

This article seeks to elucidate the construction of couple identity and how marriage is redefined with the arrival of children, in addition to observing what is the space reserved for the couple after so many transformations. Therefore, we analyze the movie "Friends With Kids", which depicts the story of three young couples in the process of transition from marriage to parenthood. As a result, we showed that having children is a difficult task, housework multiplies, financial pressures increase and the moments of intimacy with the partner decrease. However, If the couple has solid foundations based on dialogue, love, partnership and understanding become father and mother will be an exciting and transforming experience.(AU)
