O texto que apresentamos é um breve ensaio sobre o dia dos mortos no México. Esta data é vivida com muita alegria, muitas flores, comida, e caveiras sorridentes de açúcar; a morte é ridicularizada e celebrada com músicas, bebidas alcoólicas e rezas. Partimos do princípio de que a celebração do dia dos mortos representa, no imaginário popular, a ideia de que os mortos não morreram totalmente, apenas passaram para outro lado da vida. A festa marca o calendário festivo da cultura popular do México, celebrada de maneira especial e única. Mistura muito bem o sagrado e o profano, o medo e a ironia, através do sincretismo religioso. Diante da morte que concerne a todos, a cultura mexicana, festeja e se diverte de forma irônica, misturando o sagrado e o profano, criando um sincretismo religioso que mistura tradições religiosas cristãs e indígenas...
ABSTRACT
The text is a short rehearsal of that the day of the dead in Mexico. This date is experienced with joy, many flowers, food, and grinning skulls sugar; ridiculed and celebrated with songs, prayers and alcoholic beverages. We assume the celebration of Day of the Dead has the idea in the popular imagination, that the deads do not die completely, just went to another side of life. The festival marks the festival calendar of popular culture in Mexico, celebrated in a way so special and unique. Mix well the sacred and the profane, fear and irony, through the religious syncretism...
