O indivíduo fora da cidade: questões à transmissão na sociedade contemporânea / The individual out of the “polis”: questions to the transmission on the contemporary society

RESUMO

Este artigo discute a questão do sujeito da contemporaneidade, estabelecendo relações entre a emergência da ideologia do liberalismo econômico e a construção de um sujeito flexível e livre, mas afastado da experiência da cidade. O indivíduo contemporâneo, recolhido à experiência da sociabilidade familiar, introduz neste espaço de prática social a demanda crescente por relações igualitárias, cujos efeitos têm sido descritos sob o nome de crise da família. Acreditando que é no encontro consigo mesmo que encontra a sua identidade, o sujeito contemporâneo opera no registro de um pensamento binário, no qual se recusa a experiência de alteridade, levando à crença em um sujeito que seria causa de si mesmo.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this article is to discuss the matter of the contemporary individual, establishing a link between the emerging of the liberal economy ideology and the construction of a flexible and free individual, who is far from all the “Polis” experience. The contemporary individual, limited to hisown family’s sociability, introduces in it a growing demand for egalitarian and free relations, which effects are called as family crisis. Believing that he will find his identity in an encounter with himself, the contemporary individual works in the frame of a binar(y) thought, believig in the individual asbeing the origin of himself.
