Materiales complementarios para la docencia de posgrado en Psiquiatría / Complementary materials for the upgrading teaching in Psychiatry

RESUMEN

Fundamento es indiscutible la importancia que tiene la actualización de los contenidos de la literatura docente para el desarrollo del proceso docente-educativo en la educación superior. Objetivo: elaborar materiales complementarios para la docencia de posgrado en Psiquiatría. Métodos: se realizó una investigación de desarrollo con enfoque cualitativo, en el Hospital Psiquiátrico Provincial Docente "Dr.C. Luis San Juan Pérez" de Villa Clara durante los cursos 2012-2013 al 2014-2015. Se utilizaron métodos de los niveles teórico analítico-sintético, inducción-deducción y sistémico-estructural; y empíricos análisis documental de los programas y las orientaciones metodológicas y una encuesta en forma de entrevista a residentes y profesores para corroborar si en los materiales de estudio se abordan con suficiente actualización los contenidos de la especialidad. Resultados: se evidenció que existe un déficit de literatura actualizada en la especialidad de Psiquiatría, de acuerdo con el análisis que se realizó de los enfoques de contenido de determinados temas y de las propuestas de bibliografías básica y complementaria; fueron identificadas necesidades de aprendizaje relacionadas con la desactualización de los contenidos. Se elaboraron materiales complementarios para los tres años de la especialidad con temas actualizados. Conclusiones: los materiales fueron valorados por criterio de especialistas como pertinentes, novedosos y útiles y constituyeron la base sólida para la realización de los principales protocolos de atención hospitalaria del centro.

ABSTRACT

Background: undoubtedly, it is of paramount importance the upgrading of the contents of the teaching literature for the development of the teaching-learning process in higher education. Objective: to elaborate complementary materials for the upgrading teaching in Psychiatry. Methods: it was carried out a development investigation within the qualitative approach, in "Ph.D. Luis San Juan Pérez" teaching Psychiatric Hospital of Villa Clara province during the academic years 2012-2013 up to 2014-2015. Methods of the theoretical levels were used analytic-synthetic, induction-deduction and systemic-structural; and empiric documental analysis of the programs and the methodological orientations and a survey in interview form was applied to residents and professors to corroborate the updating level of the contents of the specialty in the study materials. Results: it was evidenced that there is a deficit of updated literature in the Psychiatry specialty, according with the analysis that was carried out on the content of certain topics and of the basic and complementary bibliographies; learning necessities related with the insufficient updating of the contents were identified. Complementary materials were elaborated for the three years of the specialty with updated topics. Conclusions: the materials were valued by the specialists' criteria as pertinent, novel and useful and they constituted the solid base for the execution of the main protocols of hospital attention of the center.
