O Cuidado de si entre Profissionais deEnfermagem: Revisão das Dissertaçõese Teses Brasileiras / Self-careamong Nursing Professionals: An Integrative Review of Brazilian Dissertations and Theses

RESUMO

Objetivo: Identificar e analisar as produções científicasbrasileiras de Enfermagem na temática do cuidado de si apartir de dissertações e teses defendidas nos programas depós-graduação em enfermagem do Brasil. Materiais eMétodos: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literaturacuja coleta de dados utilizou as palavras cuidado de si ecuidar de si, no portal da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamentode Pessoal de Nível Superior e nos catálogos do Centro deEstudos e Pesquisas em Enfermagem. Resultados:Constatou-se que foram produzidos ao total 274 estudoscientíficos pela enfermagem, e aplicando-se os critérios deinclusão, a amostra foi composta por 32 publicaçõespertinentes à temática investigada. A análise ocorreu pelomapeamento estatístico e análise de conteúdo temática. Apartir das leituras dos resumos das teses e dissertações foipossível apreender os significados expressos nos estudosque mostram a co-ocorrência das seguintes grandescategorias cuidado de si e cuidado do outro como atividadeessencialmente humana e interrelacionadas; dificuldade doprofissional de enfermagem olhar para si e cuidar de si;influência do modelo biomédico no cuidado do outro e cuidadosi. Conclusão: Os achados indicam que o cuidado de si écomplexo; engloba o cuidado físico, mental e espiritual,relacionado à necessidade humana de viver em grupo e emharmonia; é uma busca pelo autoconhecimento, mas aconteceno encontro com o outro, evidenciando o humano como serde relações...

ABSTRACT

Objective: This study aimed to identify and analyze theBrazilian scientific production in nursing on self-care issuesfrom dissertations and theses of graduate programs in Brazil.Material and Methods: This is a narrative literature reviewbased on searches using the key-words self-care and takingcare of oneself in the electronic database of the Coordinationfor the Improvement of the Higher Level Personnel (CAPES)as well as in the files of the Center for the Study and Researchin Nursing (CEPEN). Results: A total of 274 articles werefound, of which 32 were selected according to the eligibilitycriteria. The analysis was conducted by means of statisticalmapping and thematic content analysis. By reading theabstracts of theses and dissertations we could observe themeanings expressed in the studies through the co-occurrenceof the following broad categories self-care and care for theother as an essentially human and interrelated activity;difficulty of nursing professionals to take care of themselves;influence of the biomedical model in caring for others andself-care. Conclusion: The findings indicate that self-care isa complex issue.
