Vigilância Participativa em Saúde do Trabalhador e Agronegócio no município de Lagoa da Confusão, Tocantins / Participatory Surveillance in Occupational Health and Agribusiness in the municipality of Lagoa da Confusão, Tocantins

RESUMO

Resumo Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre trabalho, saúde e agronegócio no âmbito da estruturação da política de vigilância em saúde do trabalhador a partir da perspectiva de atores locais. O estudo realizou-se no município de Lagoa da Confusão, TO, sob a vertente da pesquisa participante. Sucederam-se quatro reuniões, com a presença de até 11 pessoas, de modo a se respeitar a ideia de constituição de grupos participativos. No que concerne à interpretação dos materiais de campo, adotou-se a técnica de análise do discurso, sendo identificados três categorias empíricas de análise, a saber Trabalho Precário e Agronegócio; Agrotóxicos; e Política. Além disso, obteve-se como produto das reuniões um Plano de Vigilância Participativa em Saúde do Trabalhador para o município. Quanto às discussões dos materiais, sobressaiu o sentido do importante papel que o Estado tem a desempenhar como formulador de políticas para intervenção na realidade, bem como na ordenação de ações democráticas de vigilância em saúde do trabalhador. Além disso, constatou-se o imprescindível apoio às organizações locais dos trabalhadores, de modo a torná-las mais fortes, tendo em vista uma ampliação da capacidade coletiva de defesa da saúde.

ABSTRACT

Abstract This article aims to analyze the relationship between work, health and agribusiness within the structure of occupational health surveillance policy, from the perspective of local actors. The study was conducted in the municipality of Lagoa da Confusão (TO) as part of participatory research. Up to eleven people attended four meetings in order to respect the idea of establishment of participatory groups. Field materials were interpreted using the speech analysis technique, and identified three empirical categories of analysis, namely Precarious Work and Agribusiness; Pesticides and Policy. In addition, the meeting resulted in an Occupational Health Participatory Monitoring Plan for the municipality. The State role as policy developer to intervene in reality was highlighted during the material discussions, as well as during the ordering of democratic actions in occupational health surveillance. Additionally, the need to support the local occupational organization was noted in order to make them stronger, aiming to expanding the collective capacity to protect health.
