RESUMO
Este estudo teve por objetivo descrever a visita domiciliar realizada pelo Agente Comunitário de Saúde (ACM). Escolheu-se a visita domiciliar pela importância dessa atividade nas ações realizadas pelo ACS. O trabalho aconteceu numa Unidade Básica de Saúde do município de São José do Norte (RS). Como procedimentos acompanhou-se/observou-se dezesseis visitas domiciliares, utilizando-se um roteiro de observação sistemática, elaborado a partir do estabelecido pelo Ministério da Saúde. Os sujeitos do estudo compreenderam três ACS. Como resultado verificou-se que o ACS não segue as orientações do Ministério da Saúde quanto à realização da visita domiciliar. É por meio da visita domiciliar que o ACS atende de perto às necessidades da família referentes à promoção, proteção, recuperação e manutenção da saúde. A realização das visitas domiciliares é uma preocupação nessa Unidade Básica de Saúde, devido ao baixo número de famílias visitadas no mês, tornado-se necessário mais investimento na supervisão do ACS, afim que ele realize essa ação com mais competência.
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to describe the home visit carried out by Community Health Agents (ACS). The home visit was chosenbecause of its importance in the activities of the ACS. The study took place in a Basic Health Unit in the city of São Josédo Norte, RS. Sixteen home visits were followed and observed as part of the procedure. An itinerary of systematicobservations was utilized as established by the Department of Health. Three ACS participated as subjects of the study.The results proved that the ACS do not follow the orientations of the Department of Health in regards to the home visit.It is through the home visit that the ACS tend to the needs of the family in reference to health promotion, protection,recuperation, and maintenance. Home visits are a concern to this Basic Health Unit due to the low number of familiesvisited monthly. This illustrates the necessity to invest in the supervision of ACS, aiming to promote a more competentperformance.
