A saúde vai à escola: a promoção da saúde em práticas pedagógicas / Health goes to school: health promotion in pedagogical practices

RESUMO

No Brasil, as ações educativas em saúde para escolares estiveram presentes nos discursos oficiais a partir de 1889. Atualmente, a temática é relevante, pois é inegável o papel da instituição em temas ligados à saúde. O objetivo do artigo é analisar a entrada da saúde no espaço escolar através de ações do Programa Saúde na Escola (PSE), classificá-las como práticas pedagógicas e, a partir daí, verificar se elas se alinham com a perspectiva da promoção da saúde. Para isso, são apresentadas cenas cotidianas das ações de saúde nas escolas para permitir a construção de um panorama. Conclui-se que essas ações alteram a dinâmica escolar e que algumas delas se aproximam do conceito de promoção da saúde ao utilizarem determinadas estratégias.

ABSTRACT

In Brazil, the health education actions for school children were present in official speeches from 1889, and currently, the issue of health in the school traces its relevance worldwide, because the role of schools in health related issues is undeniable. The goal of the paper is to analyze the input of health in schools and classify them as teaching practices. From there, see if they align with the prospect of Health Promotion. The methodological approach used in this article is to present the scientific mosaic scenes of everyday health actions and thus allow the construction of an overview of what happens when health goes to school. We conclude that health actions performed in schools and change the dynamic school that some actions are close to the concept of health promotion strategies.
