ABSTRACT
Sudden death in infants is defined as when no cause of death is found in patients autopsies studies. This type of event is of high social impact, and there is still no clear physiopathology that explains it completely. Nonetheless, there is literature that recommends different practices that decrease the risk of SD and these practices have been the goal of government campaigns for population education and prevention at an international level. This article, analyses the current recommendations for SD prevention.
