Evaluation of Q angle in differents static postures

RESUMO

Comparar o valor do ângulo Q em diferentes posturas,nas rotações externas e internas de membros inferiores. Método:Trata-se de um estudo descritivo de corte transversal. Avaliou-se62 voluntários, 32 mulheres e 30 homens, nas seguintes posições:supino com pés paralelos, supino com pés abduzidos, ortostáticocom pés paralelos e ortostático com pés abduzidos. Todosos participantes eram sedentários e sem patologias ou queixasreferentes aos membros inferiores. Para o calculo do ângulo Qutilizou-se a Biofotogrametria Computadorizada, por meio do programaALCimage 2.1®. Resultados: O resultado das comparaçõesdemonstrou haver diferença significativa entre a posição ortostá-tica com pés paralelos e ortostática com pés abduzidos no ladoesquerdo para ambos os sexos (p=0,000). Encontrou-se diferençasignificativa também entre a posição supina com pés abduzidose ortostática com pés paralelos do lado esquerdo (p=0,046), nosexo feminino. Conclusão: Existem diferenças significativas naposição ortostática com pés abertos e paralelos para o membroinferior esquerdo, e uma simetria entre os membros inferioresindependente da rotação dos membros na postura supina. ABSTRACT

Objective: To compare the value of Q angle in different positions,in the external and internal rotations of lower limbs. Methods: Thisis a descriptive cross-sectional study. We have evaluated 62 volunteers,32 women and 30 men in the following positions: supinepositions with parallel feet, supine with abduction (externalrotation of lower limbs), and standing position with parallel feetand with external rotation. All the participants were sedentary andwithout previous history of acute injury or complaints regardinglower limbs. In order to calculate the Q angle we used computerizedbiophotogrammetry through ALC image 2.1® program. Results:The results of the comparisons showed significant differencebetween the standing position with feet parallel and orthostaticpositions with abductees feet on the left side for both genders(p = 0.000). We also found a significant difference between supineand standing position with abducted feet and with feet parallel onthe left side (p = 0.046) in females. Conclusion: From these results,we can conclude that there are significant differences in thestanding position with abducted feet and parallel to the left leg, andsymmetry between the lower limbs independent of rotation of limbsin the supine posture.
