Consulta de Enfermagem para a Criança e o Idoso: Revisão Integrativa da Literatura / Nursing Consultation for Children and the Elderly: An Integrative Literature Review

RESUMO

Caracterizar a produção científica acerca daconsulta de enfermagem voltada para a criança e o idoso,disseminada em periódicos online no período de 2007 a 2012.Material e Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa daliteratura, realizada por meio de busca eletrônica na BibliotecaVirtual em Saúde (BVS), nas bases de dados da LiteraturaLatino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS)e Scientific electronic library online (SciELO). Os descritoresutilizados foram “consulta” and “enfermagem”. A amostra foiconstituída por 20 publicações. Resultados: Os resultadosapontaram um número reduzido, no que diz respeito àprodução científica sobre a consulta de enfermagemdirecionada à criança e ao idoso. Os anos de 2007, 2008 e2012 corresponderam ao período com maior quantitativo deartigos publicados. O periódico que contemplou o maiornúmero de artigos foi a Revista de Enfermagem da USP.Quanto à modalidade do estudo, destacaram-se os artigosoriginais, com 13 publicações. Dos enfoques ressaltados,emergiram duas categorias temáticas “Consulta deenfermagem à criança buscando hábitos de vida saudável;“Consulta de enfermagem ao idoso e melhoria de suaqualidade de vida””. Conclusão: Diante do exposto, concluiseque a consulta de enfermagem é uma ferramenta de granderelevância para a prática assistencial do enfermeiro ao cuidarda criança e do idoso. ABSTRACT

To characterize the scientific production on nursingconsultation focused on children and the elderly, publishedin online journals in the period from 2007 to 2012. Materialand Methods: This was an integrative literature review basedon searches in the Virtual Library in Health (VLH) throughthe databases of the Latin American and Caribbean Literaturein Health Sciences (LACLHS) and Scientific Electronic LibraryOnline (SciELO). The descriptors “consultation” and “nursing”were used. The sample consisted of 20 publications. Results:The results indicated a reduced number of publicationsconcerning the topic ‘nursing consultation directed to childrenand the elderly’. The years of 2007, 2008 and 2012corresponded to the period with the highest number ofpublished articles. The journal that included the largestnumber of articles was the Journal of Nursing from USP(University of São Paulo). As for the study modality, therewas a predominance of original articles with 13 publications.Two thematic categories emerged from the selected topic“nursing consultation of children looking for a healthy lifestyle;and “nursing care towards the elderly and improvement oftheir quality of life.” Conclusion: Nursing consultation is avery important tool for nursing care practice towards childrenand the elderly.
