RESUMEN
El objetivo de este estudio fue describir y comparar las dimensiones sintomáticas psicopatológicas en conductores particulares, de servicio privado y de servicio público en Lima Metropolitana. Los participantes fueron 1,985 conductores de sexo masculino con edades entre 18 y 76 años. El instrumento utilizado fue el Cuestionario de 90 síntomas (SCL-90- R) de L. R. Derogatis, que mide tres índices globales y 10 dimensiones sintomáticas específicas. Los resultados revelan que los conductores particulares y los de servicio público presentan indicadores diferenciados de sufrimiento psíquico y psicosomático global; así como un mayor número de síntomas y diversidad de psicopatologías, una mayor intensidad sintomática media e indicadores elevados en la mayoría de dimensiones psicopatológicas específicas. De igual forma, se detecta que los conductores de servicio público, como los mototaxistas y los microbuseros, sumados a los choferes particulares, tienen la mayor incidencia de dimensiones sintomáticas psicopatológicas globales y específicas, frente a sus pares que hacen movilidad escolar, taxistas, traileros, buses urbanos e interprovinciales, quienes registran valores bajos en dichos indicadores...
ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to describe and compare the symptomatic psychopathological dimensions in private drivers, private service, and public service providers in Metropolitan Lima. The participants were 1,985 male drivers between the ages of 18 and 76. The instrument used was the Symptoms Checklist 90 Revised (SCL-90-R), by L. R. Derogatis that measures three global indexes and 10 specific symptomatic dimensions. The results reveal that the private and public service drivers show particular indicators of global psychical and psychosomatic suffering, as well as, a greater number of symptoms and diversity of psychopathologies; a greater symptomatic intensity average, and elevated indicators in the majority of specific psychopathological dimensions. Also, it was found that among the public service drivers, the motorcycle-taxi and minibus-drivers, coupled with the particular drivers, infer in the highest incidence of global and specific symptomatic psychopathological dimensions, compared with their peers who provide school mobility, taxi drivers, truckers, urban and interprovincial bus drivers, who record low values in these indicators...
