The changes in the work process are creatinga new man-machine relationship, which aiming at increasingproductivity has a negative effect on workers health. Aim:
Toevaluate the effectiveness of labor kinesiotherapy (LK) as a prophylacticmethod and treatment for musculoskeletal pain amongworkers in the clothing industry, as well as to investigate possibleassociations between pain symptoms and risk factors. Materialandmethods:
48 volunteers participated in the study and were subjectedto a LK program (10 min/3x weeks / 8 weeks). The variables ofinterest were collected before and after the intervention period. Forthe statistical analysis we used the paired t test with α set to 0.05and a linear regression analysis. Results:
Remission occurred in asignificant number of volunteers; however, we noticed new cases ofonset of musculoskeletal pain among workers who underwent LK.The risk factors that were associated with painful symptoms wereworkers gender, working time and overtime performance. Conclusion:
The LK was not an effective prophylactic method, however, itcan be considered useful for treatment of already installed symptoms...
