Do paradigma da dominação ao paradigma do cuidado / From the paradigm of domination to the paradigm of care

RESUMO

O artigo discute as características centrais do que denomina ‘paradigma da dominação’, assinala suas profundas raízes na dominação patriarcal e na consolidação das crenças fundamentais da modernidade, seus dualismos constitutivos e a consequente desvalorização da natureza, da mulher e dos sentimentos. Confronta essas características com o que denomina ‘paradigma do cuidado’, entendendo por tal, para além da atitude que esta palavra evoca, uma importante modalidade de relacionamento intersubjetivo,responsável não apenas pela constituição dos sujeitos mas também pela configuração dos laços profundos que fundamentam o tecido social. Nesse contexto, discute sumariamente a emergência de elementos constitutivos desse novo paradigma no contexto da acelerada decadência da dominação patriarcal e de uma profunda transformação do papel da mulher na contemporaneidade...

ABSTRACT

The article discusses the main characteristics of what is denominated ‘paradigm of domination’, stresses its deep roots in the patriarchal domination and in the consolidation of the fundamental beliefs of modernity, its constitutive dualisms and the consequent devalorization of the nature, the woman, and the sentiments. It confronts those characteristics with what is denominated ‘paradigm of care’, understanding it, further beyond the attitude which such word evokes, as an important modality of intersubjective relationship, responsible not only for the constitution of the subjects, but also for the configuration of the deep bonds that fundament the social abb. In that context, it summarily discusses the emergence of elements that are constitutive of this new paradigm in the context of the accelerated decadence of the patriarchal dominance and of a profound transformation of the role of the woman in contemporaneity...
