RESUMO
Identificar o impacto da HAS no cotidiano do homeme seus agravantes, bem como as medidas preventivasadotadas para controle da hipertensão. Material e Métodos:Estudo transversal, de campo, com abordagem quantitativa,amostra probabilística composta por 70 homens hipertensosacompanhados pelas Unidades de Saúde do município ecalculada para uma população finita. Resultados: Asprincipais medidas preventivas adotadas para o controle dapressão arterial foram a dieta hipossódica (29%), oacompanhamento rotineiro com médico/enfermeiro (66%) eo combate ao fumo (24%) e ao álcool (24%). Entre asprincipais medidas preventivas incentivadas pelosprofissionais de saúde destacam-se os hábitos saudáveisde alimentação (38%) e o seguimento do tratamentomedicamentoso (14%). Conclusão: A HAS interfere na vidados homens, e estes por sua vez mantêm hábitos nocivos eque são fatores de risco para a hipertensão, como tabagismo,etilismo, sedentarismo. A principal medida de controle é adieta hipossódica. Apesar dos homens mostrarem-sesatisfeitos com os serviços de saúde, estes precisammelhorar as estratégias de atendimento, focando açõespreventivas, que atinjam os fatores de risco de forma ampla...
ABSTRACT
To identify the impact of hypertension and itsaggravating factors on mens daily lives, as well as to verifythe preventive measures taken for hypertension control.Material and Methods: This was a cross-sectional field study,with a quantitative approach and probabilistic sample,calculated for a finite population, comprising 70 men withhypertension accompanied by the Family Health Teams of amunicipality. Results: The main preventive measures takento control hypertension were: hyposodic diet (29%), routinemonitoring by a physician/nurse (66%); and anti-smoking(24%) and anti-alcohol (24%) actions. Among the mainpreventive measures encouraged by health professionalsstand out healthy eating habits (38%) and monitoring of drugtherapy (14%). Conclusion: SAH interferes in the mens liveswho maintain harmful habits considered risk factors forhypertension, such as smoking, alcohol consumption andsedentarism. The major control measure adopted was thehyposodic diet. Although men were shown to be satisfiedwith the health services provided, these facilities need toimprove their support strategies, focusing on preventiveactions that might reach the risk factors broadly...
