O presente trabalho objetiva, a partir de uma revisão de literatura, esclarecer o cirurgião-dentista sobre o papel potencial do líquen plano como marcador precoce da infecção pelo vírus da hepatite C (VHC).Revisão de literatura o VHC representa um grande problema de saúde pública, uma vez que pode ser responsável por desenvolver hepatite crônica, cirrose e carcinoma hepatocelular. This paper aims, through a literature review, enlighten the reader about the potential role of lichen planus as an early marker of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.Literature review HCV is a major public health problem, since it may be responsible for developing chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
