RESUMO

A hipersensibilidade dentária cervical (HDC) compreende uma das principais indicações para o recobrimento de uma superfície radicular exposta por recessão gengival. Este trabalho descreve o tratamento de uma HDC em um dente com hipersensibilidade dentária devido à presença de recessão gengival Classe I de Miller na superfície vestibular do incisivo lateral superior esquerdo (22). O tratamento cirúrgico periodontal proposto foi a técnica de retalho semilunar posicionado coronalmente para recobrimento radicular na região vestibular do 22. Após 9 meses de acompanhamento clínico foi possível observar o recobrimento da recessão e ausência de HDC. ABSTRACT

Cervical dentin hypersensitivity (CDH) comprises one of the main indications for coverage of root surface exposed by gingival recession. This work describes the treatment of CDH in a tooth presenting hypersensitivity due the presence of Miller’s Class I gingival recession, on the buccal surface of the maxillary left lateral incisor (22). The proposed surgical periodontal treatment was the semilunar flap technique for root coverage in the buccal region of 22. After 9-month follow-up, it was possible to observe the coverage of the recession and absence of CDH.
