A Satisfação de Idosos Quanto à Estratégia Saúde da Família, a Partir da Atenção em Saúde Bucal / Satisfaction Levels of the Elderly in Relation to Family Health Strategy, Through an Analysis of Oral Health Care

RESUMO

O processo de envelhecimento populacional brasileiro éacelerado. Percebe-se na população idosa uma maiorutilização dos serviços de saúde e grande carência deatenção odontológica. A Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) -reorganizadora do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) - afirma aatenção integral à saúde, centrada na família, priorizando,entre outros, os idosos. Apresenta-se uma pesquisa,realizada em um município de aproximadamente 1.200.000habitantes, que em 2004, iniciou a inclusão da odontologiana ESF, buscando ampliar o acesso às ações de saúdebucal. Objetivo: Conhecer a satisfação de idosos quanto àESF, a partir da análise da atenção em saúde bucal. Materiale Métodos: A metodologia foi qualitativa, utilizando gruposfocais. Resultados: Foi percebida uma satisfação variável,sendo positiva com relação a experiências passadas –destacando relacionamento profissional-usuário e qualidadedas ações clínicas e extra-clínicas – e negativa quanto aproblemas rotineiros inerentes ao acesso, atenção ao idosoe sua família, resolutividade e questões organizacionais.Conclusão: A ESF precisa melhorar a atenção aos idososnos aspectos relativos ao acesso, longitudinalidade econtinuidade, ou seja, aspectos gerenciais e de gestão. ABSTRACT

The ageing process of the Brazilian population hasaccelerated. It has been seen that the elderly are makinggreater use of the health services but paying far less attentionto dental care. The Family Health Strategy (ESF) – reorganizerof the Unified Health System (SUS) – points out that the totalhealth care must be centered on the family, giving priority tothe elderly, among others. This research was carried out in acity of 1,200,000 inhabitants, which in 2004, started theinclusion of dentistry in ESF in an effort to provide broaderaccess to oral health care. Objective: to know the elderlysatisfaction about the ESF through an analysis of oral healthattention. Material and method: qualitative, using focal groups.Results: it could be noticed a varying satisfaction whichwas positive regarding past experiences – highlighting theprofessional-patient relationship and the quality of clinicaland out-patient care – and negative in relation to the routineproblems of access, care of the elderly and their families,problem solving and organizational issues.
