Manejo de trauma dentoalveolar atípico: relato de caso / Management of atypical dentoalveolar trauma: case report

RESUMO

Os traumatismos dentários são situações de urgência odontológica que necessitam de um atendimento rápido, porém minucioso. Na maioria das vezes é necessário o acompanhamento do paciente por um longo período, sendo a incidência deste tipo de injúria variável entre 4% a 30% na população em geral. A avulsão dentária consiste no deslocamento do dente para fora do seu alvéolo sendo conduta imperativa, quando bem indicada, o reimplante do dente avulsionado na sua loja óssea. Os traumas que envolvem os dentes anteriores, influenciam a função e a estética do indivíduo, afetando seu comportamento social. O trauma dentário é uma ocorrência que necessita da atuação de várias especialidades da Odontologia, entre elas a cirurgia, a dentística, a endodontia, periodontia, prótese e ortodontia. ABSTRACT

Dental injuries are odontological emergencies that require a fast but careful management. Most often, it is necessary to monitor the patient for a long period, and the incidence of this type of injury ranges from 4% to 30% in the general population. The teeth avulsion is the displacement of the tooth out of its socket and it is mandatory to promote immediate replantation of the avulsed tooth in its original bony socket when this procedure is well indicated. Trauma involving the anterior teeth has great impact and influences the function and aesthetics of the individual, affecting their social behavior. The dental trauma is an event that requires the action of several dental specialties, including surgery, dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and orthodontics.
