Uma experiência de extensão, iniciação científica e de formação humanista de estudantes de medicina: o projeto Abraçarte / Medicine stdents' experience of extension, scientific initiation humanistic formation: the Abraçarte Project

RESUMO

O projeto Abraçarte foi criado em 2001 por estudantes de Medicina e professores da Pediatria e da Medicina Preventiva e Social da UFMG. Tem como referencial teórico e ético a humanização da atenção hospitalar. Seus objetivos são desenvolver atividades lúdicas e pesquisas sobre a assistência prestada em unidades pediátricas do Hospital das Clínicas e contribuir para a formação humanista do estudante. As brincadeiras são realizadas leito a leito, semanalmente e em grupo nas datas festivas, utilizando recursos das artes cênicas. Resultados mostram que as atividades lúdicas contribuem para quebrar a rotina das crianças hospitalizadas; que as pesquisas introduzem a perspectiva do paciente e seus familiares sobre o atendimento prestado, valorizando a demanda do usuário; e que ambas as atividades possibilitam o contato do estudante com o paciente desde o início do curso, aprimorando a habilidade de escuta cuidadosa de suas demandas. ABSTRACT

The Abraçarte Project was created in 2001 by UFMG Pediatrics and Preventive and Social Medicine students and teachers. The theoretical and ethical reference is the hospital care humanization. The objectives are to develop ludic activities and researches on the health care in the Hospital das Clinicas pediatric units and to contribute for the student's humanistic formation. The games are performed from bed to bed, weekly and in groups during holi- days, using the resources of performing arts. The Results show that ludic activities contribute to break the routine of the hospitalized children; that the researches present the patients and their tamilies' perspectioe on the health care received, valuing lhe user's demands; and that both activities make possible the contact between the student and lhe patient from the beginning of lhe course, enhancing the careful listening skills towards the demands.
