O Estresse em profissionais de enfermagem: uma revisão sistemática / Stress in nursing professionals: a systematic review

RESUMO

Objetivo: O estudo teve como objetivo realizar uma revisãosistemática da produção científica realizada acerca do temastress em enfermeiros. Material e Métodos: Para a realizaçãodesta revisão sistemática foi utilizado o Portal da BVS(Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde) como base estratégica, ondetrês bases de dados foram consultadas Lilacs (LiteraturaLatino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), BDEnf(Base de Dados de Enfermagem) e Scielo (Scientific EletronicLibrary Online). A busca foi realizada entre os dias 12 e 28de março do ano de 2013, restringindo-se a artigos publicadosno período de 2000 a 2012 (ano). Os artigos selecionadosforam analisados e registrados pela escala “PhysiotherapyEvidence Database (PEDro). Desta forma, fizeram parte destarevisão sistemática 19 artigos científicos. Resultados: Osresultados evidenciaram que o profissional de enfermagemestá suscetível continuamente ao estresse que pode serprovocado por diversos fatores, entre eles a dupla jornadade trabalho, a rotina, e a preocupação com o outro. Outroresultado identificado é que este grupo apresenta sintomasde estresse tanto físico quanto psicológico. Conclusão:Conclui-se que o enfermeiro em sua atividade laboral enfrentadiversos fatores que alteram seu nível de estresse, sendoassim, foi verificado que o nível de estresse ficou entremoderado a elevado.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To perform a systematic review of scientificliterature on stress in nursing professionals. Material andMethods:The Virtual Health Library (BVS)was used toperform the bibliographical searches in three databasesLilacs (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences),BDEnf (Nursing database), and SciELO (Scientific ElectronicLibrary Online). The search was carried out between March12 and 28 2013, restricting the articles published from 2000to 2012. The selected articles were analyzed and scored forthe scale “Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). A totalof 19 scientific articles were includedin this systematic review.Results: The results showed that nursing professionalsarecontinually susceptible to stress, which can be caused byseveral factors, including the double working day, routine,and concern for the other self.Our findings also revealedthat this group has symptoms related to both physical andpsychologicalstress. Conclusion: We may conclude thatnursing professionalsmay face stressing situations in theirdaily routine.Thus, their stress level was found to be betweenmoderate and high.
