ABSTRACT
Among 13 patients with schistosomiasis mansoni, two groups of patients were found high IgE responders, characterized by patients with IgE serum levels higher than 1300 U.I./ml, and low IgE responders with serum IgE levels lower than 700 U.I./ml. After chemotherapy the differences in IgE level between the two groups cbecame more evident. The analogy of results with experimental schistosomiasis of mice, was discussed
