Lessons in research to action and policy - case studies from seven countries

ABSTRACT

It focuses particularly on the decision-making aspect. One of the aims was to try and identify capacity development needs to help countries in their efforts to make research an effective tool for health development. The publication includes case studies from seven countries Brazil, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Lithuania, Pakistan, South Africa, and Uruguay. This was made up of a combination of document analysis, interviews with researchers and decision-makers, and in several cases, the personal experience of case study authors in the research-policy process.
