ABSTRACT
Poisoning and Occupational Poisoning are defined. Dosage alone determines poisoning was quoted from Paracelsus. An account of the occupational poisonings like, Heavy metal poisoning in Heavy Industries Corporation at Htonebo and Neighbourhood cases of lead poisoning in children, Pesticide poisoning seen amongst workers of Wa-thon-dra cotton plantation, methyl mercury in Minimata Bay and River, Japan is given. Prevention of occupational poisoning by work safety measures and careful biological monitoring is emphasized.
