The report of poisons detection in the dead victims investigated at the Chulalongkorn Hospital.

ABSTRACT
Statistics of poison detection in 692 cases resulting in deaths were investigated at the Chulalongkorn Hospital during the period from 1971 to 1985 revealed that there were 416 positive cases. The detected poisons consisted of approximately 30 compounds. Among them, ethyl alcohol was the most frequently found poison; the next compounds were paraquat, salicylates, opiates and benzodiazepines, respectively.
