ABSTRACT
Histogenesis of human fetal lung was studied in 40 human fetuses under light microscope after sectioning andstaining with hematoxylin & eosin stain, in fetuses with gestational age ranging from 10 weeks to fetuses above30 weeks. Appearance of various levels of bronchi were identified with the changes in the epithelium at differentlevels of bronchi. The appearance of alveolar ducts and few alveoli were recognized after 25 weeks of gestation.Vascularisation of the fetal lung was observed as early as 10 weeks of gestation.
