ABSTRACT

Background:

Hyperemesis g ravidarum tends to r apidly progressin to Wernicke encephal opathy and Korsak off syndromeand, therefore, need stoberecognizedearlyandmanagedpromptlywithtargetedmultimodaltherapies.

Objective:

Thisstudycriticallyreviewedtherelevantliteratureonclinicalperspectivesofhyperemesisgravidarum,WernickeencephalopathyandKorsakoffsyndrome.Thesecondaryobjectiveofthisstudywastoimprovetheawareness,emphasisonearlydiagnosisandimmediateinterventionconcerningthesesequentialsyndromesinpregnantwomenacrosstheboard.
