Effects of Rehabilitation Nursing on Motor Function and Activities of Daily Living of Stroke Patients / 中国康复理论与实践

@#Objective To explore the effect of rehabilitation nursing intervention on motor function and activities of daily living of patients with stroke. Methods 140 stroke patients were randomly divided into control group (n=70) and rehabilitation group (n=70). The control group received conventional drugs of neurology and nursing, the rehabilitation group received rehabilitation nursing intervention in addition.Before and 5 weeks after treatment, the motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) were assessed with Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and modified Barthel index (MBI). Results There was no significant difference between 2 groups (P>0.05) before treatment. The scores of FMA and MBI were significantly higher in the rehabilitation group than in the control group (P<0.001) after treatment. Conclusion Rehabilitation nursing intervention can improve the patient's motor function and ADL recovery.
