METHODS:

Twenty female rats were used in this study. They were divided into two groups by each ten rats. One group was ovariectomized and grafted alloplastic bone material. Other group was non-ovariectomized and grafted alloplastic bone material. After a healing time of 4 weeks, the animals were sacrificed and decalcified preparations were routinely processed for histologic evaluations.
