ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of He-Ne Laser irradiation on the change of some biological indicies in the experimental infected mice after 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 days of irradiation. Over 240 male mice (at the same age, weight of from 180 to 200 mg) were subjected to study and divided into 4 groups normal and non-infected animals (group1- control1), infected animals without any treatment (group 2- control 2), infected animals treated daily by Vancocin with dose of 400 mg per kg of bodyweight (group 3) and infected animals irradiated by He - Ne Laser everday with power density of 2mW/cm2 in 10 minutes (group 4). The control and experimental animals were sacrified at 1st,3nd, 5th, 7th,10th and 15th day which were time of post- irradiation in group 4. The hematological indices, immuoparameter and piece of skin flap were evaluated. The result of experimental study showed + After one day of irradiation in all infected groups (2, 3, 4), skin flaps were suppurative. There was not statistically significant difference of hematological indices and immunoparameters among groups. + After 3 days of irradiation, the hematological indicies and immunoparameters increased in grop 2, 3 and 4 in comparision with group 1. However, in group 4, the number of white blood cells was smaller and immunoparameters were higher than those in group 2. In addition, the process of wound healing (epitheliazation) in group 4. This proved that Hene laser irradiation started to have effectiveness at the 3rd day of post- irradiation. + After 5-10 days of irradiation, the hematological indices and immunoparameters returned to normal levels as group1 while these indices were still high in group 2. Furthermore, the skin flaps of group4 were completely wound- healed and gradually scarred over. This illustrated that there was an early regulation of biological indices the normalisation in irradiated mice. (Group 4). + Until the 15th day, the biological indices of group 2 were just normalised.
