ABSTRACT
Three elderly female patients with pyometra unaccompanied by uterine cancer received and responded to a combination of an antibiotic or antibacterial agent and Haino-san-kyo-to. Not only did the symptoms improved but also transvaginal ultrasonic tomography revealed a decrease in the cavity of the uterus and loss of its content. The draining effect of the treatment was thus confirmed.
